PSSA's

Well again I have failed to keep this thing updated because I have been rather busy. So to catch everyone up I'll summarize what has happened.

In January not a whole lot happened. Brittney and Brendon turned 15. In February there was David's 21st birthday, although he wasn't here for it.

Now for March. As pretty much the entire world knows, Japan was hit by a 9.0 magnitude earthquake just about a week ago. The confirmed death toll is over 1,000 people but the estimated number is 10,000. I personally hope everything gets better.

It is almost the end of March, unfortunately that means the season of PSSA testing. Next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, we (the juniors) take the reading and math portion of the PSSA's. The following Monday-Wednesday we take the writing. Then to finish out the testing season we take science PSSA's the first week in April.

I will write more next week

2011

 Welcome to 2011!
Well, It has been quite a while since I last posted. So much has happened since November. Christmas and Thanksgiving have come and gone, and now we are finally in 2011. Many people (well most hopefully) will make, or have already made, New Years Resolutions. The typical ones are to loose weight, spend less time facebooking, catch up with old friends/family. The list could go on and on forever. Hopefully any of you who haven't made resolutions yet will go out and do that soon. They really can improve and make a huge difference in your life depending on what your resolution is.
Christmas for me was pretty uneventful. The same thing happened this year that did in years past. Everyone was up except for one member of the family so we had to wait for that one person to wake up before we could start opening presents and bring in the cheer of the holiday season. Of course as always someone had to argue about something which got everyone's tempers pretty high. Unlike last year however, there was no snow on Christmas morning. But it did snow later that day and even into the day after Christmas. Our family housed my friend Charles, from school, for about a week. It was a nice visit and it'll be good to see him again sometime soon.
Now onto the Phillies. As pretty much the entire world knows by now, the Philadelphia Phillies re-signed starting left-hander, Cliff Lee. This deal pretty much came as a surprise to every baseball fan in the country. Most people believed that the lefty was going to sign with the New York Yankees for a very large sum of money. However, late at night, Lee made the decision to return to Philadelphia. Some say the decision partially had to do with the input of his wife. In a press conference Lee extinguished that rumor saying that he felt that Philadelphia was his home. So who knows what will happen now that we have four ace starting pitchers. Halladay, Hamels, Oswalt, and Lee. Maybe a trip to the world series is in store? Possibly, but we'll have to wait to figure that out until next October.
Next a short little blurb about the Eagles. This season the Eagles acquired quarterback, and convicted felon, Michael Vick. Much to the dismay of many fans they signed him for one season. He was going to be the backup quarterback for Kevin Kolb after they got rid of veteran Donovan McNabb. During the season however, starting QB Kevin Kolb was injured, so Michael Vick took his place. An interesting thing happened though. On one of the last games of the season, the NFL decided to postpone the Eagles/Giants game for the safety of the people commuting to the game. The Eagles finished the season with a 10-6 record. They made it into the playoffs, but on wildcard weekend, they lost 21-16 against the Green Bay Packers. Maybe a shot at the Superbowl next year? Who knows what can happen.
Currently there are two major storms brewing in the Mid-West and South. These systems could potentially bring up to 24 inches of snow in some areas of the Northeast. What does that mean for all the school kids? SNOW DAY! It would be fantastic to have at least one snow day this year. Maybe not as many as last year though. Everyone just have hope and do the snow dance!

I'm in school right now and I have to go soon since it is almost 1:54. I will try and write more next time I can get on. Until then good luck and Happy New Year!

Mid-Week!

So I thought I would update my blog since it has been like 2 weeks since my last post. Well I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago and I found out it was poison oak. He put me on this dose pack and a cream. But now my face is clearing up and im happy!
Right now I am after school at a reading olympics meeting. We were discussing what to go see for our trip. I would LOVE to go see Phantom of the Opera since I haven't seen it before. This week I am on tech side with Mr Alderfer. Tech side is interesting because of the people, chats, breaks, notes etc.
So the Sesame season is just about over. THANK GOD. It's so cold outside I don't even know why people come because it is SO cold outside its ridiculous. I was working last saturday and I was inside but I still thought I was going to freeze to death. Sesame Place retired the rock around the block parade which had been there for 15 years.
I have to leave now so I will try to get on and write more next week. Bye everyone :)

Last week

Well to start off I somehow got poison oak! I didn't even know it was alive at this time of the year. Its too cold. So school was pretty good all week I guess not counting for the fact that it was like ridiculously cold out. Then I had work today but went home cause of the stupid poison oak. Having it on my face makes it so UNattractive. lol.

I am SO glad the Sesame season is almost over. 1 because its way to cold so I don't know why people are there anyway, and 2 I'll finally have a life again! Or at least until I find another job. This season was a lot of fun and a lot of work but I'll hopefully be seeing everyone again next year.

Next thing I should talk about is how amazing the phillies are doing. I'm really hoping they will win tonight so it forces a game 7. I was getting kind of nervous in the middle of the week when they were down in the series 3-1. Now that it's 3-2 and my hubby roy oswalt is pitching tonight in PHILLY, I've gained my hope back of the phillies clinching a 3rd consecutive NLCS title.

Roy Oswalt :)
I should be going seeing as I have to eat dinner soon. I'll try to get on and update more sometime this week

Love you guys

Entering the world of blogging

      Family
So, since I didn't have school today I was pondering on what to do. I fed the animals and took the dog out for a while. After that I got bored so I decided I'd go ahead and try to start a blog. So here I am trying to think of what to write in my first post.
First off I'll tell you a bit about myself and my family. I am 16 and I go to Tech for CIT. I have my mom and dad and 3 other siblings. Oldest being David. Dave is a Marine currently deployed on a ship headed towards Pakistan. He should be home sometime in late spring hopefully. Dave has a girlfriend, Ashley, who he's been dating for a while. I wont go into details but they are pretty darn cute together :)

Next in line is me obviously. But then there is Brittney and Brendon, the youngest. They were cute babies and they're funny people as teenagers. Here's a picture of the whole family, except me because I was at another party.
I guess next I should start introducing my extended family. I'll start with my dads side of the family since it's pretty small. There's his brother Scott (my uncle), his wife Beth (my aunt), Keli and Meghan. This is an old pic of them but it's the only one that I could find with all of them in it. Then There's my grandparents on my dad's side. I don't have a picture of them but when I find one I'll share it with you guys.

Then there is my moms side of the family which is HUGE. There's Grammy and Papa (my grandparents), who unfortunately are no longer with us. Grammy had been battling cancer and died in December of 2008. Papa just recently lost his battle with Leukemia in September of 2010. Then there are the aunts. There's Kris, Karen, Lorraine, my mother, and Linda. Here's a picture of them in September 2010 (except for Karen I can't find a picture of her so when I do i'll add it later).
(L-R: Linda, Lorraine, Ingrid (my mom), and Kris)
Next up is the cousins. There's A LOT of them so bear with me while I name them all: Ashley, Jeff, Ali (Jeff's wife), Kathryn, Greg, Eryn, Heidi, Wayne(Heidi's husband), and Laura. Here's the whole group of them.

Now you're probably wondering about second cousins, am I right? Well there is Jack and Ryan (Jeff and Ali's kids) and Cole and Blade (Eryn and Jay's kids). I love my little cousins they're adorable so here's some pictures of me and them.

That's it for my family. I do have animals though, 4 cats and 1 dog.
